There are so many Wacom tablet options for osu! now – which one is the best?

02/13/2026

Over the years, Wacom tablets have been the preferred choice of drawing tablet for osu! players. If you don’t know what osu! is or why Wacom tablets are involved, check out this overview we published a few years ago or this coverage of a tournament we published in 2024. We also collaborated with Mike Eatmon, better known online as KoiFishu, one of the top osu! players in the world, to contribute to a mini-challenge he hosted on his YouTube channel that same year.

KoiFishu has been a top osu! player for years, and for most of that time has been consistent in his recommendation: the One by Wacom tablet in the small size, called the “472” by osu! players after its SKU, is the best tablet for most osu! players. But he recently got his hands on the latest, and most advanced, Wacom drawing tablet – the 2025 Wacom Intuos Pro.

“Wacom has been the main brand of tablets to go for when it comes to osu! throughout the game’s history, and it’s been cool to see how as the game and players have evolved, so has tablet technology,” he says.

“The Intuos Pro is without a doubt one of the best tablets for osu! due to a couple factors, those being the customizable pen – with the different grips as well as weight adjustment options – and most notably the 300Hz polling rate,” he continues. “The high polling rate not only leads to a smoother visual look when it comes to your cursor movement in the game, but it also technically results in slightly lower input delay, which overall makes aim feel more responsive even if only slightly in comparison to other tablets.”

Should most players upgrade to Wacom Intuos Pro, then? “This kind of thing is usually more noticeable when playing at a higher level,” Mike says. “But even just the smoother look of the cursor in game with the Intuos Pro is a nice upgrade.” He adds that the Intuos Pro is quite a bit more expensive than other tablets preferred by osu! players – it was designed for creative professionals, after all, not osu! players.

“It’s also been great to see how there’s been a growing relationship between osu! and Wacom,” Mike adds, “with there now being a collaborative tablet sold on the osu! site in addition to collaborations between Wacom and osu! community figures like myself.”

Speaking of which, the standard One by Wacom (472) is still the most popular Wacom tablet for playing osu! – but there’s a new challenger for that spot, thanks to the release of a new osu! branded tablet created in partnership between Wacom and osu!

Introducing the limited-edition pro osu!tablet

“osu! players have always claimed that Wacom is the best source for competitively viable tablets,” explains the osu! team. Recognizing this, we knew it was time to finally collaborate officially. And the pro osu!tablet was born!

Not to be confused with the Wacom Intuos Pro, preferred by some players such as KoiFishu, this tablet is a rebranded version of the tried-and-true One by Wacom tablet (the 472), with art designed by osu! enthusiast meiikyuu. It’s called “pro” to differentiate it from a previous osu!-branded tablet, marketed as “intro” for beginners or players on a tight budget.

Which is the right tablet for you? If you’re an osu! enthusiast, the pro osu!tablet might be perfect for you. If you’re a high-level player who needs the best tablet ever with the highest polling rate, then maybe Wacom Intuos Pro is a good fit. If you want to play, but also want a non-branded entry-level tablet you can also use for other tasks, then the stalwart One by Wacom tablet might be exactly what you need.
